Alaska hatchers..How is everyone doing? Baby pics !!!!!!

I don't know if any of you are awake but I just came home to a egg pipped in my incubator, My hatcher is not warmed up and these little guys werent due for another 4 days, lock down being tomorrow....UGH! Now what!

Oh no! How quickly does the hatcher warm up?

We stuck the hairdryer in there, now we are just waiting for it to come back down from 108 and 70% humidity

Nope, that didnt work all it did was heat up the air. The surrounding items werent warmed up so it dropped drastically to 91...it's slowly coming up. Im just a nervous willy right now after that last hatch, we havent had a chance
to change things around in the hatcher yet.

by the way, Aimee it was so nice meeting you today! We need to have a day where we all can sit down (out of the wind) and chat...or something!

Well I have two little Dellies and a drowned BCMs.......thats ok, I guess it could have been worse. The BCMs is gasping for air so I don't know that he'll make it.

Oh bummer, Deb!! 4 days early???

Weird... my hatch was early too. I knew I would be too busy on Monday to put the eggs into lockdown so I did it Sunday afternoon. Monday morning there was a pip... they weren't due until today, but I've already put 33 chicks in the brooder with only 5 more eggs to go. Maybe our incubators are too warm???

Thats just strange. The one that wasn't pipped last night came out first, the one that was pipped last night came out this morning. The BCMs was pipped and I saw fluid coming out of the shell so I went in after it. So far it's still breathing, and the other
two are doing good. It's a darn good thing we just used our heads and took a couple of rows out of the turner and just laid them on the wire. They hatched at the incubation heat and humidity! LOL!
