Boy you've got that right - They are terrors! I put them in an extra large box for the next 2 weeks and they are out that door the SECOND I open it and running everywhere! They howl bloody murder when I put them back in - and about any other caterwauling complaint! they have all the wood shavings outside the box within hours. I have no idea how they do it. They are going out into a heated brooder on the porch this week the rascals!
Nutty strain part 2 - Tori's got nice ones - mine are finks!

Sounds to me like you have a bridge for sale then!

One thing I will say for them - they like people - even if they are holy terrors otherwise! I do have two from another breeder and those guys are sweeties. Maybe its the "terrible twos"?
(Tori is the one to talk to Pandora, I think she can whisper those guys!)

Tori, how is your bird doin that had surgury? I have one isolated now, that may need your skills. I'm going to feel it in the am and see if it has gone down. I know that some birds gorge before going to roost, but this gal is thin enough I think it has been going on for a while.

we lost our littlest chick......born the 9th,
It looks like the other chicks smothered it.

here are the others.....

She's going to be fine. A little scarring on the crop, but she is back in GP with the others. So far so good. She even ate some hay, and it hasn't bound up again.

And I scored a 32 bottle wine cooler/celler thingy for $50 in perfect working condition. I didnt have the heart to tell the guy I was gonna gut it and make it into a hatcher / bator. A friend loaded it and took it to the fire station today to have the hubby wire all the electric stuff being I learned at a young age not to mess with electricity ~ gotta love electric fences

Looks like all of you have been doing well love all the pics, hope I have some to add soon.

Pandora, that's a nice pic.... The guy on the right giving the "stink eye" is priceless. I am sorry though about your losing a chick.

13 still going. The neighbor's 2 little girls, (where T=Rex lives now) have asked to come "see" when eggs pip. They are very excited. That will make it even more fun!

I have spent most the day trying to get arrangements made to get my aunt in England to ship me some Coronation Sussex, at $10 for 6 eggs I was all over that....until.......

I learned there is a $137 application fee to start with for the USDA, that doesnt include shipping or the cost that they require you to have a vet certificate for the whole flock.......

I might as well just buy a pair here in the USA....If this had all worked out I would have replaced my Dellies in a heartbeat!
