Does AMF do a bulk order for grower feed? Steph and I have 75 meat birds coming and I don't want to pay for single bags.

When Jim and I talked to AMF they said we had to buy a ton at a time to get a "small" break. The "break" didnt
make sense to us since we were already getting it cheaper at Three Bears...

WW, I would give Quartz some plain organic yogurt, with a little oatbran or ground old-fashioned oatmeal stirred into it. If she's puking up whole corn, she's definitely blocked up. The yogurt, oats and maybe a little cod liver oil to make it into a loose slurry and let her eat that. It should lube, add some good bugs, and nourish all in one.

But not a lot... just a couple of tablespoons at a time, and mix it fresh. Trust me... you do NOT want to open up her crop if you don't have to.

BTW... I never stopped using AKM&F feed for the birds. But I've always added vitamins at least for the first week, so I havent had any problems.

Oh, and this is just a theory of mine... eat the marans eggs for the first 6 months, and enjoy the color. Start hatching the eggs when they start lightening up. Mine started getting a little lighter at about that time, and I've actually managed to hatch a few.

I really think the shells are just too thick and the coating causes trouble.

I'm so tired in the evening that I read MAYBE two pages before I realize I'm falling asleep... But I love the book so far.
