Alaska June Hatch along!

I wonder if they want us to make monthly hatch alongs.......

here are the 10 chicks I purchased in June, I think it was the 11th.

This is the day pen I made for them & their first Day in it.

It looks to me from the coloring to be 9 Dark and 1 Light, if memory serves me correctly, that would indicate 1 roo and 9 hens?

Pandora, unless you don't want to, you could post your hatching status in the Alaska Soup thread in random ramblngs. It would be easier than starting a new thread every month.

I think that's what I heard too, and I have a young male that's light colored, you can tell pretty early from their combs too from what I see on mine.

Since I broke my foot, it takes me soo much longer to get everything around here tucked in for the night! even when I start earlier!

I don't mind posting 2x on my hatchings....I just wondered if they wanted us to do a new thread every month?

It seems to me that they closed the other thread because it was too big....

well I am hoping that I got 9 hens and a Roo. Or maybe even 8 hens and 2 roos.... For my Barred Rock Flock......Hmmmmm

I already have 5 Barred Rock hens in with my Light Brahma Roo as I am working towards a Columbian Rock......he also has 3 Light Brahma hens
and 9, 3-4 month old chicks to help keep him company.
I seen one of my young roos trying to do the Roosters job on a young hen, thought that my adult would stop it, he didn't even approach them.

All appears quiet in the hatcher, no early pips........Temp and Humidity stable.

well of that was the real reason they should have just moved it to Ramblings then, (btw My BYC page has a link to the old thread).
I think I will just post hatches in the AK Rambling thread from now on......
