Seriously?

How would I explain it?

How I would explain it is that they aren't drawings of space ships.

On the other hand, if you were to prove they are space ships (I am not entirely clear on exactly how you would do that), then it can be explained by heredity and culture. They believed in space ships, and they had children, which eventually became us, who also believe in space ships.

I had to call it 'culture', as mythology and superstition, can't readily be referred to with the word 'knowledge'.

Much of what we believe, on any subject, much of what all people believe and always have believed, simply is not true. It may be ingenious, it may be exciting, but it is not true. It is 'culture'.

I suppose that, as we are made of the same stuff as the earth and the earth is probably made up of the same stuff as other planets, there could well be life forms on other plants. If there is, I hope for their sakes that we never find them.

Present evidence shows that the earth is millions of years old and that animal remains suggest that we and the rest of the animal kingdom have evolved during that time. I can accept that until better evidence turns up. However, despite the constant flow of documentaries on the subject, I have heard no satisfactory explanation regarding the origins of matter or the spark that we call life. Until we have proof, or even a plausible theory, I'll keep my mind open.

Many people believe that reptilian aliens already walk amongst and breed with us. Thinking about some of the human reptiles I've met, I could easily be persuaded on that one. Perhaps a liking for crocodile handbags and shoes is a clue.

Will I agree with your logic for the most part.. I do not think we can say what, for example cave drawings represent. Spaceships or fantasy's of space ships just like we have today.. Most likely the latter..

IMO the human mind has difficulty with equations we are unable to solve, we start to fill in the blanks with plausible ideas... Running the range from aliens brought life to our planet, to Religious beliefs.

Simply we are not advanced enough to know yet... The answer could be neither or could be both..

I am one that believes "reality" is a state of mind, for that individual.. Another words we all have our individual "realities" when a large enough group shares a "reality" it can have significant influence on scientific and physical outcomes.. "Truths" are just collective individual realities.. Yes their are laws to the physical universe. Laws that must be obeyed with elements, matter and anti matter.. But but but.. Their seems to be something else.. Maybe it is just the human imagination... But look where it has taken us so far, we are probing other planets, with what started as a dream, our wildest imagination..

So what I am saying is that I support "delusional" thoughts.. It is healthy, it is natural, it is the root of our own species evolution..

I don't support delusional thoughts - delusional being defined as thoughts that are the result of a neurological disease...that's the only definition I know for 'delusional'. The word is commonly used today as an insult or an expression of disagreement, but it actually is a medical term.

I think I'm kind of saying the same as you, but using different words. Maybe not - here goes - tell me what you think - I don't believe that we entirely 'create our own reality', we do tend to create a set of beliefs, that's for darn sure, but that set of beliefs is often (if not usually) very, very much non factual, and what the culture believes as true, is very often, directly disproved very easily, the point of 'culture' being, that the undeniable proof is in fact, denied - ignored, denied, prosecuted, or screamed at or all of the above.

I guess for me, 'creating our own reality' suggests we can change physical real things by thinking - reality being physical objects, laws of nature - we can't. All we can do is pretend we can, LOL.

There are facts that exist that cannot be brushed away or denied...but they routinely are. And the more angrily and absolutely they are denied, the more they are likely to be a set of beliefs, rather than facts.

Or as a book I read yesterday called it, 'The ingenius product of strenuous intellectual effort', LOL.
