All 3 'girls' were accidental roosters...how did this slip by me?

You're not the only one who has experienced this too! I bought three "hens" at age 4-5 months from a woman and she guaranteed that they were female. This was in April. Now, it's the end of November and one of the Copper Marans crowed. Since my neighbors don't appreciate the loud wakeup calls from roos, he had to go. Then, the next morning, the frizzle Cochin did the same thing! BTW, there were 3 of my own hens before buying the other "hens" and there was no fighting at all. What a disappointment!
