I am surprised I did not find this thread earlier. I definitely consider myself a naturalist. I was the head Naturalist at the Provincial Park near where I live for 12 years. The job title was Natural Heritage Educator/Specialist. I supervised all the staff at the Visitor Centre and the volunteers. We ran guided hikes, evening presentations, school programs and other special events. That was many years ago now, but the love for nature is still strong. :celebrate
Wow, that is like my dream job! I can't wait to hear all about it!
 
I went camping, there were some beautiful veiws, but there was practically no water! All the streams were completely dry, even a couple rivers were gone! (They were small rivers, but still!) There seemed to be a lack of bird song... the only wild animals we saw signs of were birds and a far off coyote. :(
That is beautiful! :eek: I've noticed that dry areas, even forests, often lack wildlife (including birds). It is understandable because water is so essential to the echosystem.
