All Black Flock

There was a flock of five Young birds at a school I started working at three buff orp hens, a barred rock hen, and a beautiful pure black Roo that glistened green in the sun. They matured and he flew over the fence and got eaten by a fox, so I incubated all of the eggs they layed for the next few days,( and covered the run) now I have eight, five that look like they’re from the barred rock and three black ones, except for a little white feather on the tip of their wings and the tip of their middle fingers.

Like I said up higher, Svart Hona are not as common in the US, so Cemani is definitely more likely. Unless you paid to get the offspring tested, I don't think there really is a way to be sure past that...The two look very similar...Kadaknath look similar as well, but their eggs tend to be more on the pinkish side and Sumatra are completely different

What color is the skin?? and wattles?, and comb?
Black skin and combs on the three black ones, yellow/black marble on the barred babies but turning darker.

This is my green egger true AC x Araucana mutt. She's all black, without a hint of white at her plumage. There is some purple at her wattle though as you can see in the closeup -not noticeable from far-, and she took her mothers small comb and a hint of tufts. Her tail is normal AC however.

Sharing the two newest additions to my flock...Currently the only two that survived hatch of my Black Penedesenca. From what I have read online, if handled more, they will be less skittish, but still not want to come up to people by choice. I'm not sure if it will change as they grow, but these two eat food, water, and "air" out of my hands as well as climb on my hand to let me pick them up. The other three breeds I have(and had, including the Australorps) were not even like that in the beginning. I'm not sure if it's because I hatched these two myself or what, but aside from that, the only other difference is how few there are this time. When I take them out of the brooder, they don't even try to run(or walk) off of my. They are calm and wander around on my tummy, legs, shoulders, etc. and even nuzzle my cheek on occasion. I know the female may think I'm Mama...As soon as her head and legs were free in the incubator, she stared at me and my Shepherd, chirping, asking to be let out and got really upset when I did take her out and put her in the brooder...I had to leave my hand in it for half an hour because she wanted to be with me and I felt bad...

Anyway, enough about that, these are the two cute little ones 💖

My mom couldnt understand why I would choose an all black flock because they'd all look yhe same and would, for all intents and purposes, be dull. I beg to differ.

These are my three breeds that are a bit over three months old(pardon the excessive pictures of Diaval...I can't help it Lol) Just figured I'd post some updated pictures 💖
