Ams3651, I am really interested in those hanging bottles you have. What is in them? I need to get something to put oyster shell in and that looks interesting.

By the way the girls are really pretty. I love the lighter colors. I didn't get any white. I would think they would be a better chance with them to have blueish eggs. so far all I have is one or two laying and got green and maybe a pinkish. I don't know for sure who is laying the pinkish eggs. ;]

I think they are cut out milk jugs. And I only say that because I was there today getting corn. I didn't look that good at them but I think thats what they are. See what she says.

Does the color of the EE really influence the color of the egg?

yeah thats what they were. When they got too big for the small feeder and TSC was out of the larger feeder, I used the milk jugs for feed for maybe 2 weeks. It actually worked well, I saw it in someones picture on here. I still couldnt find a feeder so I bought a big 20lb dog food feeder i love.

Loving all of the Easter Eggers!! They are all so pretty and unique!! Here are my 3. First up is my sweet boy,
Baby Jag at 11 weeks old today.

And then Vulture (named by my daughter but I am looking for a new one

And then we have Hermione who is also 11 weeks.

I think they are boy girl girl. Do you think I am right? They are all staying if that is the way they turn out. lol

Who laid the White Egg?????

We found a white egg this weekend and we THINK it might have come from one of our white Leghorn Hens but she is only 17 wks old

When do EE's start to lay? I have 4 hens and they are 12 weeks old. I want to get nesting box's in there but don't know when to do it.
