We have a banny chicken she has hatched her first baby on the 10th of nov., however, the other nine eggs havent hatched yet. A couple of times the little baby got away from her and the eggs might have gotten a little cold. We moved the eggs out of the box and on the floor of her cage with the straw so she could be with the eggs and baby. She is sitting on them. WE put more straw in cage at one end to keep as much warmth as possible. It has been in the low thirties and last night twenties. Should we help crack the eggs to get babies out? We do not know how to do it and since it is so cold maybe that is why they are hatching late? Or does that happen sometimes not all eggs hatch at the same time? How long do we wait to see? This will be our first time having a hen hatch out eggs. Our Game hen broke her eggs and ate some, and our other chicks we got from Mc Murray Hatchery, and they have been fine. Please let us know best plan. Thanks.
