DT has a point here about the communication part and use the words "I need....", "I want....", and "I feel....." so he can get an idea what and how you are really feeling. Also listen to him as well. Even if he makes excuses under the sun. Sometimes role playing helps too!
Been there and done it! Sometimes my hubby is so darn lazy I just raise my voice and he KNOWS he is in deep doo doo if he does not do it. It will be hell to pay from me when he has certain responsibilities. Sometimes I come across him as snarky, when I had THREE garbage bags waiting to be taken out, little flies in the bags making their way out and I had enough, so I took them out myself and went in to tell him while he was on the computer, "Thank YOU very much for NOT taking the garbage out, hon!" He got the message after two times he did it.
Reverse pyschology sometimes work.
Most men can not do without women. I know my hubby can't and does not want to lose me because I am his world, and keep him in line. It is hard work in this time of recession to make the marriage work but with determination, it can be done! If hubby can get the food, even from the pantry, all for the better! That is what my hubby did when they cut his hours back, he went out "gathering" food for the entire family. I was pleased as I can be and I really praised him for the good work in "gathering" the food!
If someone said marriage is like a bed of roses, they are LYING!
