Today I am turning on my incubator to let it warm up over the weekend and so I can watch thte temps to make sure all is stable. Im still a little confused by the humidity and what % is the best for the 1st 18 days or Ive seen some people do dry hatches. If any one can help me out this is my first time. Eggs come tomorrow![]()
And roughly at what days shouId I candle I was thinking about days 7/14/18 then lockdown. Can I candle more for the sake of learning with the kids or is 3 plenty?
Also just thought about this am I supposed to heat up the incubator and put room temperature eggs in to already 100degree incubatorbator or put the eggs in the incubator and then turn it on and let everything warm up together?
I am a total noob at it too, so exciting! I want Lavender Orp's or blues, and this seems to be the only way i can get them without a 4 hour drive. There's a ton of really good threads here on forum, i have my fingers crossed for you, best of luck!
