All my birds are dying?! Help!

Sorry - I posted originally in the wrong area - I only signed up to this forum and didnt know my way around it :/

I would definitely get some testing done before you add new birds. If it was mareks it can still be on the property or the surviving rooster could be a hes not sick himself but carries the virus and can infect other birds.if you do bring new birds in I would make sure they had gotten the vaccine for mareks and was given plenty of time for antibodies and immunity before you expose them. After the vaccine is given a
bird must be kept from exposure (exposure would be
outside and adult birds) until their bodies have
enough time to make the antibodies..I read this is at
the very least 14 days some say even longer.
Because if they are exposed and the body has not
had ample time to develop antibodies the bird can
catch the virus before they had a chance to develop
any antibodies. So if you suspect Mareks disease
before you bring in more birds they should be
vaccinated and given ample time to develop
antibodies before exposure. Remember , the vaccine
is not 100% but its the best defence we have against
mareks right now. I hope this helps and wish you the best of luck.

As you are new to chickens just to add to above post you can send your just died chicken off to have an autopsy done. This will then tell you exactly what you are dealing with and if its safe to add more birds or if you need to quarentine your coop for a while.

I don't think its crazy expensive and probably cheaper than buying another half dozen birds to have them drop dead.

I'm not in your country to recommend where but of you do a search here for I think they call it necropsy? Or even testing dead bird you should find more info on where to send it.

Could be, but I could also be many other things like worms, diseases caused by worms, e. Coli, Marek's, etc.
