We have never had a double yolker in all the years we've had chickens. How often does everyone else get them?
I haven’t had one for quite some time… and I’ve only had a few in all my years as well… I have heard of a place somewhere around here that supposedly only sells double yolk eggs… I have no idea how they achieve thisWe have never had a double yolker in all the years we've had chickens. Can you fashion a mini roost temporarily, maybe 12 inches high, off the floor. ??was pleased to see that they made it up into the coop but they were not roosting… they were just sleeping on the shavings. At least they are in there![]()
May have found the answer. If I have premium membership why do I keep getting an add covering part of my screen?! Keeps popping up![]()
There is a perfect sized roost for them inside the coop… I guess it might take some time for them to figure that out… they sleep on the shavings right next to the roost.. thank you for your idea thoughCan you fashion a mini roost temporarily, maybe 12 inches high, off the floor. ??
A short piece of wood across 2 milk crates would work temp. Then they will get the feel of roosting. Chickens are dinosaurs, but also birdies.
