I understand that... our hens picked the head rooster's beard, so he was left with a bare neck like that. But eventually, It grew back! The only thing he hasn't grown back is his whitetail.

Probably still because of the hens,(such backside pickers), he has been left with no tail, so he looks like one of those tailless chicken breeds.

I have only one left, she is 3 now but when the other hens died she really mourned. She was off for 3 weeks, a flat comb, didnt want to eat much, I did all I could, she finally righted herself and is fine.

They really do care for each other. I wish more people realized this.
