That's understandable. Have you had a conversation with the dog's owners about what happened? They might have the courage to show a little remorse?Thank you so much!
I am feeling much better now… more angry at this point….

She won't need much food if she's not doing much. She'll eat more when she's fully active again.Thank you!
I am really loading the ointment into it twice a day. It seems better todayless oozing. Hopefully it won’t be long until they get to go back out! My concern with her now is that I don’t think she is eating enough

Does she look okay, no rumples in her feathers, hunched, etc. otherwise? She may be fine just not needing as much, as what @MaryJanet said.Thank you!

Yes let it drain. That is very important right now.@WhoDatChick I think by treating the wounds you could see you lowered the total wound load on her too, which helped her with this one. So you did help it collaterally. Can you rinse out the wound and get some ointment or spray in there each day? If it’s draining I think the approach is to let it drain, not close over, but that’s what I know from cats, I had a cat with a deep bite wound once.
Treats. Things she loves. If she likes corn, feed her corn.Thank you!

They were here the day it happened and were apologetic… but I called her and told her about how much each chicken could sell for and how much money I spent on meds… having to buy eggs now.. and not to mention the stress and trauma of it all and that I could have her pay me for my losses or get rid of the other husky that was with the one that got in. That dog knows where my chickens live and could come back and because of that I can’t let my gals out for fear of it happening again! So she said she would talk with her husband about it… it sounded like she wanted to do what I asked cuz she said she didn’t want any problems with her neighbors. But I still saw the dog there so I will call her again and I guess get ugly if I have to… I don’t want to and I don’t want to sue but I will tell her that so that she’ll get rid of the dog instead. She said they didn’t want the dogs anyway. I just want to have peace and not have to worry for my gals knowing that dog is there. That's understandable. She does look okay.. moving around. I also think their spirits are down and are ready to go out… Rosemary tries to get out when I go to treat Maryn.Does she look okay, no rumples in her feathers, hunched, etc. otherwise? She may be fine just not needing as much, as what @MaryJanet said.
Do you have a dog crate or something where they could spend sometime out with the others but still be protected? She does look okay.. moving around. I also think their spirits are down and are ready to go out… Rosemary tries to get out when I go to treat Maryn.
