I just love it when they are all poking out from under mama it’s my favorite!!

So I thought we were gonna be done this weekend but not quite! The roof is done and I was gonna do something different across the bottom front but decided to put wire… so now I gotta get more and put that on during the week! But we are close View attachment 4109004View attachment 4109005

Oh, and I thought I’d mention that we design our coops as we go… I do not look on any websites for ideas or plans.. we just build what I know will work. This coop is much cuter than the first one so I think we are getting better at the designs… But I will add that our first coop is very well built.. very strong!

You should write it up so others can learn from you.

So, we had these cypress boards and I decided to add them as cute accents… but also serve a purpose… we cut them to size and then I cracked them in half with a hammer/split them… and used them in the back of the coop to cover the cracks… we have fence boards and ya know how they shrink… and across the front for added protection cuz the hardware cloth I got for that section is not 19 gauge… but I think it’s cute and adds character View attachment 4112790View attachment 4112791

We should be finished today! Still hanging the door… this part looks a little rough cuz I made sure to use every bit of scrap wood we had! So it’s a hodge podge of wood
I feel so good about doing that though
Also, I have learned how to use a screw gun so I have done a good bit of the work!!
