Someone “liked” my post about TRUMP …. Yall, remember him! Anyway, I started reading the whole thread… I miss those days of being here and talking with all my friends all the time such sweet memories! But it was also a little sad seeing all my old gals I don’t feel like chicken keeping has been the same since the dog attack
There’s something missing… I can’t explain it.

There’s something missing… I can’t explain it.

Likely there is a list innocence. I felt that after the hawk took Dolly. It's never quite the same after a tragedy. With time it will fade some but it never completely goes away.

Yea, I think after having chickens for 5 and a half years without any issues of any kind gives a false sense of security. Realizing that you really have zero control is hard to grasp, especially when you’ve done everything you can to keep them safe
Maybe, I am not holding on as tightly as I did before… a wall up perhaps….
I just saw on Facebook where someone lost their whole flock to a swarm of bees

I hate Facebook! I JUST went back on there and someone had a post with a picture that some animal literally chewed a hole in the wood of their coop and killed 15 chickens they are truly not ever really safe! Like seriously!! Chewed through the wood!!
