All My Chickens..... a coop opera!

We visited a "living homestead" last summer with my brother's family. There were chickens in the coop....the "furry" chickens had the kids campaigning for chickens at home. (Both "furry" were the only cockerels)

Ya know… I’m wondering if I could try to take her to visit nursing homes she was truly enjoying sitting in everyone’s lap!

I think it's worth investigating. Red tape/health department may make it entirely too difficult/unreasonable, but until you start asking around, you won't know that for certain. Most nursing home patients miss animals.

I mentioned that Gumbo has been talking about laying… well, she has that’s her tiny little egg in the middle with bantam eggs around it and standards on the outside!

My sisters and my nieces came to visit with my mom today before they go back to college/NY… and I did a show and tell with many of the birds! Of course it was Snickers for the win View attachment 4204377

Thank you! She is itty bitty! Probably 4’7 and all 6 of her children took after my 6’3 dad
Although, she has shrunk considerably with age!
I think I posted a pic once of two of my boys on their knees with her standing between them and they are taller than her
