Luv❤️ your cats:love
All my kitties are outdoor feral rescues. We keep them outdoors. Cant keep in house. DW allergic to cats, as well. She can feed them, as well as pet them,, but has to remember to immediately wash hands when coming into the home. Most importantly for her not to touch her eyes.

Now switching gears to your chickens.
My understanding is; your chickens may be infected with that particular virus, that is not necessarily fatal, but do become carriers of it for life.?????
I am not familial with that sickness, as I would have to study it more in depth.
Wondering if it is similar to the Mareks virus. Once it is on your grounds,, it stays for long time even when there is no chicken flock present. Eventually it does go away, But don't have a timeframe available at how long.:idunno
So now to your current situation. Your flock may be fine and live a good life, but you are not able to share any of your chickens with other chicken people.
You would also have to practice personal biosecurity if you went to visit other chicken owners.
Have you looked in depth, if that virus is totally unshakable out of your flock,,, even after an extended time???
That also puts you between a Rock,, and a Hard Spot,, with the situation of any cockerels/roosters to be rehomed.
Any ideas on how to deal with that?? Are you allowed to keep roos??
You know I always have best for you in my wishes.:hugs
