All of my chickens disappeared, vanished

I mentioned all the neighboring properties are fenced/gated, mine included. Half acre, fully fenced, however, if they wanted to get over it, they definitely could. I agree that they can be invisible if they chose to be! I hope they show themselves soon!

I have lost mine in the trees before. I checked the tree over and over and I didn't see them but they were there. I suspect you wake up tomorrow to your chickens milling around in your yard like nothing happened if you Don't find them with your flashlight tonight. l

Good news! I found all of them!!!

You all are on point! They were roosted way up in my avocado tree, totally silent and invisible. I got up at the crack of dawn to look. The neighbors rooster had already been crowing for a while and I didn't see mine anywhere. I was so worried still, but when I got within about 25ft from that tree, they were chirping away at me. So grateful!! They definitely must have been spooked, because yesterday evening they didn't make a sound when I went calling for them

If they are roosting, they usually don't make any sounds. I have one that likes to roost in the trees and she is totally silent even though she wasn't spooked. Now you know where to look for them next time
