Does anyone purchase animals at Canton First Monday Trades Days? If so, I was wondering what your experience was.

I know the animal part, "dog alley", of First Monday is privately owned, and run differently from the City owned grounds. Does anyone know, are they making them show proof of tested flocks?

I have a 4 month old black non-bearded Silkie cockerel for free in
Fort Worth.
He was hatched from eggs from Windchyme Silkies in California.

He has great foot feathering, a nicely shredded tail, and is a
sweetheart.
I have too many males and need to find him a home.

terrylee, if you're looking for a reputable guy out there, look for an older gentleman named johnny and/or a hispanic guy named george. they should be sitting together. george and johnny both sell seramas and george also sells delawares, mottled java's, phoenix and such.

austrolorpchick, it was nice meeting you at the show. hope you were able to find a breeder that had silkies. there were some terrific ones at the show and i saw the lady with the hattrick silkies was there showing her silkies.

don't forget, conroe trade days on april 26th (sunday)

gates open at 7.30 for the public. seller should be there earlier than that.

it's held at the montgomery county fairgrounds next to the airport.

I also have a Golden Cuckoo Marans chick I need to sell or trade. I got the eggs from Melissa(pasofinofarm) on here. They hatched on 2/19. But the one Im getting rid of is a roo, I think. Im not 100% positive, but hes a much darker color than my other one and his comb and wattles are getting much redder and bigger than the other one. I dont have a recent photo, but will get one up this weekend. Here is a link from the lady that I bought mine from. So this is pretty much what they should look like when grown. i have some black sex-link pullets. 6 week old for $6 (all sold)

also have coturnix quail chicks. 4 week olds for $4. will separate male and female if you'd like. (Sold)

silkies are all sold

still have the pekin, cayuga and mallard ducklings.
