That made me feel painful just reading that.
I too have had a bad sprain or something to one of my ankle when I was quite small, took about two weeks to get better.
Ever since then, that ankle has been a bit weaker, and inclined to go 'wonky' but on the whole its alright.
When I picked up riding horses English more, and doing a lot of posting/rising, my ankles strengthened a lot! I could finally ditch the braces and tape! I still twist my ankles all the time, but not as often and not so badly.

Ive never been that bad... just hearing this makes me feel your pain to. My dad has knee issues and had to have surgery it actually made it worse and better. He was so bad, he could be walking straight and collapsed because his knee buckled. Im sorry you have dealt with this.
Oh goodness, that sounds painful and frustrating, I'm glad he was able to get surgery.
Thanks for the sympathy.

Calling all Christian Homeschoolers! Whether you're still in schooling or are well graduated, all ages of homeschoolers are welcome! I know there's a good many hiding out on here and I'd love for us to have our own little community.

I have been homeschooled for my entire life. Some of my worst suffering is to be found with all the math curriculums I didn't complete, and all the good stuff was during recess. :D I'm rounding out my last year of homeschooling with some good, old fashioned home ec. Cooking, gardening, animal husbandry, all the good stuff, and some financial knowledge. You know, all the great stuff a young lady needs to be that Proverbs 31 gal.

So, tell me about yourselves!
I have an announcement to make. My grandson, who has been homeschooled by me, has graduated today from high school. We were/are members of the Christian Homeschooling Association of South Carolina - a great association by the way. Yay!

congrats to him!

The chicks got let out into the barn area today(barn shell, grass inside). I've been hanging out in there recently, reading in my hammock. It got late, it was raining, they started clucking louder and louder. Eventually, the month old babies began to come all the way over to me, look into my eyes, and squawk. First it was just one, coming over and going back once or twice. Then the rest came overy and two of them jumped up into the hammock! A few looked like they wanted to jump, and a couple others tried a few times but couldn't get high enough. Later I came back in to finally take them back to the garage, and they started trying to roost on me when I crouched. Others were perching around our tractor. It was very cute.
