All the Christian Homeschoolers!

Hey everyone! I read through a lot of your stories (not quite all 162 pages ;), you're pretty cool people! I'm a Christian and was homeschooled k-12! I got my first chickens together with my brothers when I was ten and quickly got obsessed with learning about their genetics. I had chickens and all kinds of other animals until I got into my late teens and kind of phased out as I spent most of my free time road tripping with friends. I moved to northern California with some friends when I was 18 and ended up going to ministry school for three years. My school was 50% international so I got to make friends all over the world and ended up learning Swedish. I moved back home in 2020 and am now working on a (very) long term project of creating a new bantam breed.

Hi, welcome!
It sounds like you were quite the adventurous free spirit during your teen years, it all sounds so cool!
I'd love to make international friends someday, and learning another language, especially if it's from a native speaker, just seems to neat to me.
What kind of breed are you hoping to create? I'm curious to know about the characteristics you are aiming for.

Hello! Welcome to the thread :D

Haha I was, dreadlocks and all 😂. Language learning is so fun, especially once you get to the point where you can carry a conversation with native speakers, it’s so thrilling communicating in another language. The breed is a big secret, I’m sworn to secrecy 🤐

Yeah, definitely. 😅 Brain decided it didn't have enough stimulation today. I gave up and started listening to the loudest Christian music I could find(Devil Wears Prada, great metal). I'd love to be asleep right now though.
Wow I haven’t heard of that band in years! My friends were big fans, I think I might have been at a concert once. My favorite metal band was Sleeping Giant. I listen to hymns and orthodox chants now lol.

I know some German, I hope to be at least conversational one day. Duolingo can only get you so far!
I'll just have to use my imagination then, I wish your project well!

I may have heard of Sleeping Giant before, but I don't believe I've listened to any of their music.
The other Christian Metal bands I know consist of Demon Hunter, Oh Sleeper, and maybe a few others.
Hymns and chants are really cool! If they weren't so repetitive and monotonous I'd listen to them more often, but I prefer louder, slightly more... Explosive... music. I used to fall asleep to breakcore for goodness sake.
