Well y'alls, after 8 beautiful years of having him by my side, it's all come to an end.
Silas passed away.
Just a reminder to love your dogs. It's all too easy to take them for granted until they're gone.
He left a hole in my heart that will not be easily filled.
I miss you dude.

Hi. Maybe I'm way to late, but I've been home schooled for all but Kindergarten and I wanted your thoughts on this: Yesterday someone dumped four white Leghorn cockerels at the edge of our property. We caught them, they were fairly people friendly, and gave them to the Amish down the road. Am I overreacting in thinking these people should be banned from chicken keeping? These birds would not have lasted a week with all the local wildlife.

I hate the thought of that. Thats sad

I would also say, i dont know the other persons situation or motives.
I love chickens. They're like the best animal ever. They've taught me so much over the years and hold a special place in my heart, but, It's not like they did it to dogs or cats or something.
Maybe im just being heartless and cruel.
I dont think they should be not aloud to keep chickens anymore, i think they need to find a spot where they can take unwanted birds that ISNT the side of the road.
