Yes, we knew them so well. I would sing "Down in the river to pray" while riding our bikes, a d try our best at "Big Rock Candy Mountain". Dow in the river is still one of my favorites to contentedly sing to myself.

I had a lot of fun, and I am wiped out. No trophies, but a few ribbons! My horse was pretty good.

For a sexed hen/pullet $20 is really cheap, lots of people ask as much as $50-60 depending on colour as well as quality.

When I could sell pullets, 8 weeks old mix breed pullets would sell very easily for $25.
As in, I would put up the add, and get 3 different people all in the first day.
A mix breed cockerel went for $20, but he was a really nice one. (and I said as much!)
I have seen a dozen fertile eggs go for $130, which I think is a bit silly.

I bought a dozen eggs for I think it was about $90, none hatched
Recently sold a young Sussex trio for $100, though they were the poor quality ones.
Cockerels are hit and miss for me. I don't know how much I'll sell the two extra barnies for, but I don't doubt I will be able to sell them.

Nope, I've been to several before, especially this one. This show is where I got my first trophy of any kind anywhere, a couple years ago. I've been doing this one for a few years. It's a fun show, so nothing crazy, almost relaxed. We have fun classes at the end, including bareback!

I have been homeschooled for my entire life. Some of my worst suffering is to be found with all the math curriculums I didn't complete, and all the good stuff was during recess. I'm rounding out my last year of homeschooling with some good, old fashioned home ec. Cooking, gardening, animal husbandry, all the good stuff, and some financial knowledge. You know, all the great stuff a young lady needs to be that Proverbs 31 gal.
