All The Stereotypes Of Australia

Love the phrase GoodOnya all run together, and every time I hear an Australian lady speak I fall in love all over again.

When I went to melbourne in 1988 as I was gettin off the plane someone said it looks like Kansas and I said no it doesn't. Loved it there and Man From Snowy River is my all time favorite movie I have always wanted to go back and do a horseback ride in the snowy mountains

I think of people very similar to Americans. You probably don't want to be lumped in with us but...LOL

What I mean is:
All sorts of different people all jumbled together.

I LOVE Aussie accents. I now think of Oz, but I'm not sure why...someone said that Oz was talking about Australia even though I distinctly remember Oz being someplace over the rainbow...

I think of people in khaki shorts though...and REALLY hot guys with white teeth.

LOL. Most people say "g'day" but "Crikey" was The Crocodile Hunter's term.

No ostriches in Australia. You're thinking of Emus....

I don't know what I saw a few months back or on what channel but I was pretty sure it was an ostrich farm and the guy seemed to have an Australian accent if I remember correctly and they were riding ostriches which I thought was pretty funny. I think... it was there. But when I youtubed it all I saw were things from S. Africa. hmm? dunno. I can see the guy clear as day in my head... so I thought I'd recognize it right way and hoped it would be there but I didn't see it. oh well.

and lisa bell from byc is getting an emu and posted some funny emu vids on facebook and they were from Australia... before that I never knew that bit of information. They are silly and funny creatures as far as those videos went.

i dunno, but we have camel races

When I think of Austrailia I think of Steve Irwin (God rest his soul). I LOVED him. Between the Croc Hunter and the summer Olympics I got a little bit of Aussie education.

The bottom line is Austrailia is one of the VERY FEW foreign countries I would care to visit. It seems to me most countries absolutely HATE Americans. (In my Opinion, some with good reason) In many foreign countries I am nothing more than a target.

That said, If DH and I are ever fortunate enough to actually have a vactin?,vaaacasn?, vikeshun?, vicasion? Who am I kidding I can't even spell it let alone afford it. I would actually like to see the country I already live in.

I would like to see the grand canyon, the northern lights, I want to go to Philadephia for a cheesesteak sub, I'd like to taste Jambalaya in New Orleans.

I would like to stand next to a redwood tree.

BUT I DIGRESS..............

I see Australia as a beautiful and rugged country filled with people who are big into water sports. (remember I was educated by the summer olympics) If I ever got the opportunity to visit I'd like to go scuba diving and experience the seafood. Considering the country's location the seafood MUST be amazing. I would also like to see Steve's Zoo. Although I probably couldn't make it all the way through without crying.
