Almost dead.....but I've never euthanized!

After a long long struggle with internal laying, Molly is so close to death.
This morning was the first time she seemed n pain, and now at 11pm, I had just held her for two hours and thought each breath was her last.

I have never euthanized and now i feel awful that I didn't do it already!

I feel like I read garden shears are one of the quickest ways, but mine are all rusty....

How horrible am I that I am letting her suffer a long drawn out death?

I'm sorry about Molly. I totally understand your struggle. I don't have any experience with it either but no matter how you do it, it's a tough decision.

There are several ways to cull a chicken. My husband usually gets volunteered since he is not emotionally attached. Of course this is not going to help you. If you put cull in the search box there are several ways that are recommended. Good luck and I am so sorry for your loss.
