Aloha Y'all! Just wanted to say hello and thank all of you who contribute regularly (and not so regularly ) for all the information shared here. It is a wealth of knowledge for absolute beginners like me. We just recieved our first box of day old chicks in the mail and have most certainly been bitten with chicken fever. Now I gotta get that coop built! Anyhow so here's our little ladies in their little brooder. Just got it covered with fiberglass window screen to prevent escapees. I have plans for at least another 75 birds or so in the upcoming couple of years and will photodocument some of that process along the way. Thanks again for sharing. Looking forward to our new adventure. Aloha!

Welcome to BYC - so glad you've joined us. What a happy photo, it doesn't get much better than a brooder full of fuzzy babies - better get cracking on the coop, or a larger brooder, those babies will outgrow that one by the time they're two weeks old.
