Alright Men, What Did Ya Get Your Better Half?

A toilet? Where does one buy "interesting" socks?

My other half is NOT the best person to buy gifts for anyone. The 1st year we were married we were in Big Lots, he was 2 people in front of me at the check out. He paid for the item, the lady put it in a bag and he turned round and handed it to me saying.... Happy Birthday...this is for scooping the dog nonsense out the yard. The woman serving nearly choked to death then when I got up there to pay for my item she said to me. I would use it to dig a big hole to put him in...might take you a while tho. He had bought me a little tote with 3 gardening tools in it!!! But thats a different story!!!!!
The only thing I asked my other half for was an incubator. I ended up buying it myself....... yep
Just had a snoop under the tree while hes at work and he bought me....a cheapo version of a George Forman grill thingy.....
That is 1 item that will never get used. I do not cook, never have, never will. Oh well, now to be really surprised when I open it tomorrow, as surprised as I was the year he bought me a set of 4 matching coffee mugs, and the year he bought me a set of plastic drawers to put my CD's in and the year he bought me a jigsaw puzzle! Bless him.

My DH did a fantastic job this year.
He got me a trio of Self-Black Call ducks and a pair of Pencil Calls.

Couldn't have loved my gift more if it had been a huge diamond ring(which I would never wear, anyway).

my lovely husband has handed me cash not even in an envelope just grabbed it out his pocket

not this year

i told him where to get what i want and which one to get got it last week

of course hes out at the mall now getting me a hollister gift card cause i told him i want a cotton pants and zip up shirt set

I love this thread. Especially the man who said "I don't know what it is, but she wanted it."

I really did get a vaccum one year for Christmas from the hubby and was thrilled. I asked for it. It was when the dyson were first coming out and were popular, I wanted one. He went out and bought it. Perfect!

Gave me a treadmill another year, because running in the cold makes my lungs hurt. Loved that too!

The only gift snafu that man has ever had was a few years ago. He bought me one of those digital picture frames. I HATE those things. He kept mentioning it before Christmas. "I should get you one of those digital picture frames." and "One of those digital picture frames would be nice." I thought if I just didn't encourage him he'd get the hint and drop it. So I never said a word, never acknowledged his suggestion, nothing. Gave him other ideas, even! You might imagine my surprise on Christmas morning when I opened the biggest, nicest digital picture frame on the market.

Funny thing about appliances.

Got a vacuum from husband number one for my birthday. There were many reasons he was husband number one.

But, husband number two got me a dish washer for Christmas the year we got engaged. I was so happy I cried and hugged him and everyone else looked at us like we were crazy.

But, I had told him earlier in the year when we were serious about the whole rest of our lives talk that one of my conditions was I would never have kids without a dishwasher! He gave me the dishwasher and asked me to be the mother of his children.

Its all in the meaning....... I kept husband number two - he's the upgrade!

Ok.....no "domestic" gifts here. That would be suicide and grounds for celibacy

DW is getting a Pandora "leather" necklace/bracelet complete with beads (finished per the jeweler...no need to add more) and a quilted paisley overnight bag so she something feminine to pack in.

I'll be in trouble for "only a few minutes" due to not sticking to the budget, but all will be forgiven

I bought my wife a pink 9mm Taurus (she asked for a pink gun), some stuff for her Cricut scrapbook cutter, and yesterday, I bought her an air cleaner for her allergies from Lowes. I also bought her some other stuff too.

She's a doll collector so, she's getting a few dolls she has been pining for. At this point, see pretty much picks out which one's see wants; I'm the enabler. But, one of the dolls she doesn't know about, so there's at least one surprise.

I'm getting what I collect ... knives
