Alright to switch from 20% protein to 16%???

I'm one of those advocates of layer feed for laying birds.

I still get a egg a day from most of my A&M's.


If you do a search, this has been discussed a few (dozen) times and in one of the discussions I started Niki posted some good research links to read.

I just feed my chickens the game bird food. I have seabrights and the regular layer pellets are too big for them to eat any way.

I would return it cause 16% is below what they need. I give mine 27% with vegetables they are eally healthy and they lay consistintly for me.

... or just get a bag of 27% and mix them 50/50 til it's gone ...
