It is a girl. The feathers are getting curled by the roost being so close to the fence behind it. Her build is indicative of a pullet, her coloring is indicative of a pullet, her legs are thin like a pullet...So, she is a pullet. She looks exactly like my Golden Comets. Enjoy the eggs, but be wary of the reproductive issues that tend to show up in these girls.
this little guy is 10 weeks old....they are NOT getting curled tails feathers from the roost CMV because they dont live in that coop!...i just put him in there to take the pic!....i have 5 other comets that dont have pointy tails or red combs...maybe i should post them together to compare....
I have 15 RSL (Golden Comets) and I never had a problem with any of them regarding reproduction. Some of them are in their 4th year and I still get an egg a day, most of the time, from each of them.
