am i a gold comet girl???.....lets ask the experts!!!!

any body want to give this a guess????.....boy or girl????

Lots of people have told you. We don't need to guess. If this bird came from a feed store, its some form of RSL and it's a pullet. You can't get a RSL cockerel that looks like this. That's the sex linked part.

I think people are getting frustrated... do you not want it to be a pullet? Why the push back?

Lablover- High production, hatchery hens have an increased risk of reproductive issues (internal laying, EYP, ovarian cancer) than your other birds. Sex links are the highest producers out there, so their issues are well known.

Hezz- You are lucky. I just put my last GC down for internal laying. I am glad your birds have managed to dodge that bullet.

Thanks CMV. I'm sorry about your girl. I know how it feels to lose one. Just the other day something took one of my baby BO's. She would have been 3 months old this coming Tuesday.

All that was found was a bunch of feathers stuck together in a clump, no blood or anything. I looked everywhere for her, but didn't see any other signs as to where she was taken.

We're thinking it was a fox, but it could've been a coyote or a hawk....

I do feel lucky that my GC's haven't had any issues so far. I love my girls. All 44 of them! LOL!

Wow, I did not know that. I have my first batch of chickens, and 2 are RSL's. Not sure what EYP is either.
