Am I dealing with early bumblefoot or not?

Well, I forgot that a couple of us originally suspected that this was frostbite on the footpads, so that might be why it is taking awhile to heal. The spots may eventually peel off leaving healthy skin underneath. I would think about stopping the Epsom salts soaks, or slack off a bit, and see if it comes off. I am not a vet or an expert, so use your own best judgement to do that.

Funny you mention that, it did appear one of his bigger marks looked like it was beginning to peel! I was contemplating slacking off once I saw the color change, so I'll follow your advice and just observe for now.

So after letting off the Epsom soaks, Gunner's feet look like this...

He walks on them like nothing is wrong, and once again no tenderness, redness, or heat associated with them. I'm still a bit baffled by what exactly this is.

Would this possibly be fungul or just callouses?? Or if frostbite, is it normal for him not to be irritated by it?

So thought to give an update...this is what Gunner's feet look like today...

That little black spot is a piece of poop. Given the drastic improvement with no treatment given, I'm inclined to believe the frostbite theory.

Many thanks, although I did very little outside of the initial salt baths. Just thankful it didin't seem to be bumblefoot!
