We have just got some new neighbors ( they are wonderful ) that have got about 6 chickens.
Their chickens are the classic backyard flock ( that's just fed and eggs collected with occasional clean outs, non of this 'papering' us BYCers do
) the chickens are scruffy, scaley mites and not regularly wormed.
I have no problem with them, it's just I keep a high Biosecurity with my flock. I've had the mites, lice, worms and more before and I REALLY do NOT want to have to go through all that again.
I am just wondering if my flock can contract anything from this neighboring flock? They are about 250-300metres away and are over the other side of a hill.
