Hi, this is my first time incubating an egg- I found what I think to be a finch egg in my yard after a pretty bad storm a little over a week ago, and have since been taking care of it. From what I've seen from youtube videos of candling it seemed to be developing just fine, until today when I realized I couldn't see the embryo at all anymore.

Instead there's just those red blotches.

Is Egbert gunna be okay? :(

For an egg over a week old, I would think no, sorry, by the look of it, that's a goner. Early embryonic death.

BUT, I haven't raised finches, you may want to find species specific information on it... I am familiar with chickens and domestic poultry, not finches, sorry.
