This bird that I always assumed was a hen is now making me think there's a chance its a young rooster. Its from a Novogen Brown rooster and a Bielefelder hen. Since Bielefelders are barred, and I dont believe Novogen Browns are, a boy would come out barred. I never saw any barring until recently I think I see what might be barring. I havent noticed any attempts at hanky panky from this one like the other males its age. Any suggestions are welcome. The bird is about 5 months old or so.

He is barred, dominant white from the red sex link rooster tends to hide barring

Yes, it is a cockerel. There is faint barring on the hackle and shoulders, plus he has male specific feathering.

Yup! He's a rooster. His tail and neck feathers give him away.
