It is not at all unreasonable to be upset about the damage to your home, and it is particularly insensitive of parents to show such indifference to your feelings. Of course they should replace like for like and any repairs that need to be done should be of an acceptably high standard. I have owned dogs all my life and currently live with 11, but I would never allow destruction in the home like this and never, never, never inflict my pets on others!!! How we choose to live in our own homes is our affair, but when relying on the good nature of others we must behave in the fashion that is acceptable to them. There is no more to be said!
