The white and black one came from the same group and I received them from a local guy that just has them "around". The white one actually has almost what looks like blue feet with pink bottoms. The naked neck has a small nub I think.
If the NN hasn't crowed, I would wait before doing anything. My NNs pullets hatched 3 June haven't laid yet, they can take up to 6 months. The only reason I think the NN might be a boy is the burly legs. My girls are mostly red and black, a common color combo for NNs. I had a boy 'for sure' that laid at almost 6 months. If you look at the pin feathers, if there are still any on the back, you should see really shiny ones coming in for the saddle feathers. My June hatched boys all have saddle feathers, even those that lost their tails to the pecking order. I have three boys that are tailless, and not due to space issues. Anyway, NN's can be really hard to sex, since their faces and neck flush and fade and often they don't crow because they seldom are high in the pecking order - their personalities are too laid back. Post his pic on the NN/Turken thread, perhaps they can tell the gender better than I.
You are indeed over run by roosters. By the looks of the two hens in the background you should re-home them, cook them, or seperate some of them to let their feathers grow back.
Ok, without sounding snotty...........the hens in the background are rescues. Almost wish I had not posted pictures with them in it. They are being well cared for and have made leaps and bounds since I got them. One of the ones that were bare in this photo is almost completely covered in feathers again and the other is on her way. With that said.........I went to the local fair today and got a change to look at the NNs that he had there. Mine looks exactly like the hen he has.....so I am now so confused of the sex of my NN. Are there other things I should look for?
NN is a pullet. If they are that old, she should have alot of saddle feathers. Mine were hatched at the end of April and my roo is covered in saddle feathers. All my girls have monster combs and wattles...that's just a NN...
