Am I the only one who threatens hens/pullets with freezer camp?

Yep.. that's what I do.. well sortta .. I have incubators and start itchin to hatch around Dec but make myself wait till Feb at least...:lau
DH says NOOOOO to incubatoing eggs. You will become the chick lady :gigI'll get you the replacements.
Will talk him into incubating eggs. Will tell him I'd have to have the heat turned up to 75, that will work :lau

All of my 8 month old EE girls are molting and quit laying. They look dreadful. My year old BCM is molting. The 2 younger BCM haven’t started laying yet. So only my Buff Orpingtons, Silver Laced Wyandottes & Brahma are still laying consistently. And either the Gold or Black Sexlink.

While I haven’t threatened to off anyone yet...... I hope they get over their molting soon. We went from 10-14 eggs per day to 3-5. I did up their protein in their feed so hopefully that helps.
Sounds like most of mine right now..:hmm:old

And you'll be amazed at how many people will say " I have an extra bator.. its all yours" :gig
I now have 3..

Ah. Ok.. I get ya. How big are the brahmas?
Carnation is 8-9 pounds now. When we took them in she weighed 6 pounds, other 2 barely hit 4 pound. All 3 older girls were under weight, nasty rear ends, shabby feathers. Pretty much feral. Landlord's son refused to buy them feed. When landlord (lives out od state) came back & saw the shape they were in, he asked if we wanted them otherwise he would cull them.
