How do you know when "hatch time" will be? Does your incubator have a countdown? Sorry first time in a LOONNG time hatching eggs!!

and yes, my incubator has a countdown timer... ME! so lockdown is the 18th, and hatch by the 21st (ish). got 17 (as of last count) silver grey dorkings, 10 easter eggers and 8 muttbaby bantams. the bantams are my own chickens' the rest were shipped. also had 7 marans eggs shipped, 2 were smashed and the other 5 scrambled before they ever got here. cracked the last one yesterday and it showed a teeny bit of development but doesn't look like it went more than a day or 2 at the most.

Oh no!! I ordered my eggs today offline..... I soo hope I at least get 1 or 2!

i received 21 dorking and 14 EE, and on day 12, i've still got 17 dorking and 10 EE growing...

over half way there!

the dorkings came from Florida, the EE from Georgia... the marans from Nebraska (i think?) and they spent an extra 2 days in the hands of the post office compared to the other 2 boxes.
