Am I the only person in the whole wide world?

I didn't like children when I WAS one!

I was told I could not have any, like dunk's wife. DH and I decided we would just see what happened and take whatever we got - or didn't. I came home from our honeymoon in a "family way"!!! Dh is very proud.

Anyway, I do adore my children, but I still do not like other people's children. An infant I will throw myself under a bus to save mine or not, but a child? Well we'll see. Strangely I actually like teenagers. Y'know those sullen moody irresponsible flaky did I mention moody teens? Yeah, I like them. Go figure.

I have a one year old, worked with "special-need" folks (mostly kids because of my size and strength) for a long time.

He is in a stroller or on a leash (the one I wore as a young thing was red and had a wrist strap and a telephone cord as the line) as he won't hold still enough to be walked by hand or carried.

He is good in public as long as his needs are met...

I hate it when people think they can touch my kid, or people that say "It's ok" when I tell him 'NO' ...

I also hate other children behaving poorly and the excuse being anything to the effect of , "They're just kids."

I just wonder what I'm going to do when he throws tantrums in public... apparently rumor has it my parents just walked away from me...

I should mention, in my own defense, that I would never allow a child to be harmed if I could help it. Yes, I would risk my own life to save a child if I saw one in danger. I just don't like them in every day situations.

funny you should bring this up. yesterday i went to my 3 year old daughters pre-k for mommy and daughter time!

No kidding...I've always felt that electric shock training would be a viable training tool for young children! That way, no one is the "bad guy"....the correction just comes from nowhere. And one doesn't wear themselves out spanking kids....just the flick of a switch...er, I mean....press of the button.

Stop that sweety..... darling, would you stop that please?.... ZZZZZZZTTTT.

We have an old shock collar laying around (belonged to DH's dad). Don't think I haven't thought about it.
