I don't think it's weird! Anyone that presses birds on a regular basis would agree with me.
Heck, I would probably ask for one for Christmas if we hadn't bought onealready. But we kind of had to... We processed over 300 birds this year.

The plucker I bought myself two years ago because it was deemed a worse task than babysitting the turkey fryer being used for scalding. But I've wanted a set-it-and-forget-it scalder since about the second time I processed. The amount of faffing around involved in checking and watching the temperature with a turkey fryer is just silly.
