Delmarva is in delaware, I don't remember what town
Larry Clionsky(ameraucana breeder) got DQed when his blue cock had 1 red feather on his shoulder.

I know Jamie Matts. He has cochins and australorps. I have no idea what went through his head while judging your bird

Just because a bird wins out of a group of BAD birds DOES NOT make him SQ

I am soooo glad someone else said it so I didn't feel compelled too.

i think that is a little harsh because the judge had to see something in him but he is clearly not an EE just an ameraucana with some faults! but EE's should not be anywhere near a show unless they are maybe in a sales coop but that is pushing it for me but i dont mean to sound backward or mean im a huge fan of EE's have a few for hatching eggs myself but these arent show birds and i think this is a subject that has been covered many times here and i hate to beat a dead horse so to speak

I agree, sadly at one of the first shows I was at there was a beautiful black ameraucana hen entered as a black astralorp. If I had seen the people I would have told them. I bet if it was entered correctly it would have done quite well.

Sometimes people get a bird and just go by what the person they got the bird from said it was. Like EE's entered as araucanas for example.

You think my girls are BAD LOOKING birds? They came from a BYC person Solsken Farm. They have nice birds, but you are entitled to your opinion :).

Show us some picture of your girls I am sure they are beautiful! Who knows why this guy won its a mystery

i completly understand where your coming from about the sellers word ive been sucked in by that a couple of times and your hens are nice and im not conviced that your boy is an EE from the look of him but just b/c he has some silver in his hackles doesnt make him an EE just means he has his faults and with some careful breeding you could possibly rectify the problem......i cant see your girls' legs so that will be another factor but i think you have the ingredients to have nice birds..... my advice is start with these three and breed them and then keep the best from them and eventually buy a better rooster at like a show! everyone has to start somewhere and not everyone can have birds from established lines you might have to establish a line and that will be 10x more satisfying than buying from an established line and "piggy backing" off someone elses hard established work!!! that is my advice to you but you have to be careful in your descisions from here because what you have is like trying to establish a new breed (very hard) so you need to be careful and go to the ABC's site and read up b/c that is the only way you are going to be able to do something like this!!! i hope you have fun in your endeavors with your birds and love every minute of it and if you decide not to breed ameraucanas well then forget this whole little thing!!! and if you go to my site on the links page you will find a link on there or search the ameraucana breeders club site.
