Ameraucana Blue Color question UPDATED W/SHOW RESULTS!

I've never owned or bred ameraucanas. If the silver leakage will go away that's good, I hope it does. Otherwise I, definitely, agree with Blackbird. It is not at all helpful to use birds with leakage for breeding (or showing).

Well, that is why I asked about the color BEFORE MAILING IN MY ENTRY and I didn't get your answer in time, the post office closes at 2 pm on Saturdays.

So I guess you are saying he will be DQ for foreign color?
Don't you think he would make nice babies with the 2 pictured here?

If not I could try and find him a good home and put them with a white or something. I think he is cute but really wasn;t sure on the color until I posted here and the first few said he was indeed a blue so he is entered as a blue. Should I change his color to AOV?

I can email his picture to the show sec and see what she thinks.

I hardly ever show ameraucanas, my main concentration is on my araucanas and my phoenix, though I am also showing bearded silkies and showgirls too.

Hey when I first got my first araucana flock the woman I bought them from told me my Pete featured on my home page of my site, was a SDW so I had no reason to doubt her. WHen I got the Standard of Perfection I saw SDW as black and white so I emailed the APA and told them they had the color wrong in the book for SDW. They didn;t answer, he he. It was the lady who was wrong, duh!!!

Do you think I should ask to substitute another bird for him in the show? SHe won't even get it in the mail until Tuesday???
