Ameraucana bred to SOP

@NNYchick Those are some of the best wheaten bantams I have seen. Id be proud to have those in my flock! My wheatens lose the wing bow after their first molt which sucks. I should of only bred cocks after their first molt to pick who would of kept it.
Thank you. So far my cock bird is going through his first adult molt and has kept his wing bows. He is still molting, it’s an awkward picture because he’s on alert guarding the hens that are dust bathing. E8D1BE42-0BC0-47D5-8108-504720A63F82.jpeg I started last year with shipped eggs from a breeder in CT I found in the Ameraucana alliance registry. So I can’t take the credit for them. I’m just trying to learn to select them correctly to keep moving them forward.

He really is a nice looking dude, just as good as any that I've seen in shows from well known breeders. The blue wheaten guy is stunning too. Do you mind if I ask where you got your stock from?

I purchased hatching eggs from Temple Mcteer Dasalvia in CT, I found her on the Ameraucana Alliance. She told me who her lines originated from but I can’t remember now. I know right now she working with some others breeders to get bantam SB accepted next month.

Nice, I saw some of her birds at a show 2 years back they were very nice and did well. Looks like you aquired some good genetics, I wish you the best with them!

I ended up taking a 10hr round trip on Mon and picked up a new flock of wheaten & blue wheatens, blues, and some more silvers so hoping I'll be set for a while 🤞I was real pleased with this blue guy

They are amazing!

Here are a few I took, I'll try to get more pictures this weekend. Most of them are still in the middle of molt. All credit goes to the late Barb Rogers. I am thankful her family offered them to me after her passing. She was a great lady to know, my original silver bantams came from her, so it was nice to aquire her breeding stock to expand my program.
