Are you sure, are you REALLY SURE??? I hope, I hope!!
Now, tell me how you can tell? Tell me, tell me please!

I am pretty sure that is just my opinion though buy 8 weeks my EE rooster had allot bigger comb and my hens comb was about the same size as theirs.

My EE's were the easiest to sex. The roos feathered in with a very different colour pattern. Their combs and legs were virtually indistinguishable from the pullets. Although, the roos had a few more "bumps" on their combs than the pullers. They also stand more erect and like to be bossy. By 6 weeks, the pullets have a coloured head and neck with a different coloured body. The roo's were basically the same colour all over with splaches of colour around their neck and tail.

Just my experience with only ten chicks. Good luck

Thank you all for your input! And thank you too for the good news! It is time to find a name for the silver colored one.

In your opinion, are these two mutts aka EE, or do they meet the standard of the Ameraucana breed?

mirjam, I say pullet and I came in here with that same question. But both look like my EE that I am almost 100% sure is a pullet. I am still trying to figure out my other EE as he/she doesn't match anything that distinguishes one from the other. he/she has a combo of both characteristics. Are there hermaphrodite chickens?

Suess Hens,
Sooner or later you will figure out what you got. I guess many people in this forum (myself included) are just too impatient to wait until the chick matures. We want to know now before we get too attached and then have to give it away because it is a rooster.

But hey, may someone can help out. Why don't you go ahead and post a photo of your chick?
