I've had Ameraucanas from a breeder and an EE from a breeder who was working on a new Ameraucana color, but no hatchery EEs. Just never had any pendulous crop issues in anything except the BBS Orps.

You mentioned you lost one recently. How did the crop problem play out in her?
Also, I'm wondering what the crop issues were with your other Blue Orpingtons?

Do you think my boy with the crop problem looks like he could be part Blue Orpington, or at least part Buff Orpington? It is thought his father was definitely a White Leghorn, but the mother's breed is an unknown. I always thought it was BO, but others have suggested he looks Easter-Eggish/Ameracaunish, and at 13 weeks he developed what I think are earmuffs:
