Hi, would appreciate help determine the gender of one bird and confirmation of the color.
does this look like a silver Ameraucana cockerel?

This following photo is what I think is also a silver cockerel, but that I'm sure is male. If they are both silvers, and they are both cockerels, why does one have a dark breast and the other peachy light brown patches?

This is what I'm sure must be a silver pullet:

And with her in the back suspected cockerel in the front:

Thanks so much!

Are there just two birds? They're both Easter egger pullets, not true Ameraucana.

Thanks all for letting me know. They were sold to me as true amers so I guess that's disappointing. But I'm glad to hear that I've only got the one cockerel.

Sorry, missed that reddish bird. That's a cockerel.

I tend to be pretty forgiving toward sellers who sell EE as Ameraucana. I don't think there's usually malice there, it's honest ignorance. After all, if one buys a bird from a hatchery as a specific breed, hatches chicks from those parents, shouldn't they be that breed? You'd sure like to think so, wouldn't you? And with pretty much all other breeds, that's going to be the case.

But, you hvae two pretty pullets who are quite likely to lay you blue or green eggs, so that makes most folks happy.
