Ameraucana Hen or rooster??!

So I just looked this issue up. Here is my summary from this article:

Araucanas are rare pure breed chickens, and have no rump feathers and feathers that stick out from their ear-lobes. Ameraucanas are a pure breed which have muffs, beards, black legs, and lay ONLY blue eggs. EE's are a mix-breed, which look a lot like their Ameraucana parents or ancestors. Americanas are not a breed at all, notice the "I" in the spelling. Some breeders call their EE's Americanas to trick their customers. So they are all different breeds (except for the EE's and Americanas, which are the same thing ;))

Is it just me or is this all really confusing :th? why can't they have names that DON'T sound like each other!?!?!
The basics of it is: Ameraucanas are a purebred. They only come in a very certain set of colors and have certain features. EEs and any other weird spelling of Ameraucana is an EE and are mutts. Araucanas are a seperate breed who in the US are rumpless and often have tufts. They don't all have them because two copies of the tuft gene is fatal. They have different stardards in Australia and other places.
